Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out… Bigfoot woes
FEATURING SHOCKING VIDEOS AND STORIES. WILL THEY REVEAL THE TRUTH?

Okay, I know I’m going out on a limb here, but for a while now, I’ve begun to sort of actually believe in Bigfoot. After watching many MonsterQuest shows on the History Channel, I’ve begun to realize that, you know, it is possible. I realize that most of the TV shows and stories about Bigfoot are completely made up, but when you really think about it, it makes sense that there could actually be something out there like a Bigfoot.
Gigantopithecus, the official species name of what we call Bigfoot, was a large-size ape that supposedly went extinct about 300,000 years ago. The general idea is that some Gigantopithecus survived the Ice Age, and through evolution, developed into what is now commonly known as Bigfoot, Yeti, Abominable Snowman, or Skunk Ape, depending on where one lives. Gigantopithecus was a real ape that lived in the China/India area, and it is possible that they migrated over the Bering land bridge to North America.
Most Bigfoot reports stem from the Pacific Northwest area, where there are heavily wooded areas where Bigfoots can just hang out. They are very shy animals, and that is possibly why no one has seen them.
Hunters Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin were out on an expedition one day in the Six Rivers National Forest, when they stumbled upon a tall, walking, ape-like animal. According to Patterson it was a solid 7 feet tall. Luckily for Patterson and Gimlin, they had their 8mm film camera with them, and so, in their excitement, they got it out and started to film the creature. Skeptics of the Patterson-Gimlin film and others (http://bit.ly/1Fu6Vc, for example) claim that most cases involve a man in a suit. My response to this is, what kind of tall (sane) man would go out into the remote woods, and walk around in an ape suit, just hoping to get filmed by amateur videographers.
By this, I am not stating that most Bigfoot claims are real. They are not. Most are simply hoaxes, but some appear to be too veritable to deny. On an episode of MonsterQuest, they had a “top athlete” (I really don’t know what sport he was in, probably rowing or something) attempt to walk like the Bigfoot in the Patterson-Gimlin film, but he was unable to produce the same sort of motion and walking gait as the Bigfoot.
Many people say: if Bigfoot really exists, then why haven’t we found any bodies? Well, according to an episode of MonsterQuest, it would be pretty hard for scientists to do that.
1. How many (credible) scientists are going to stake out in the uncharted Washington forests for weeks on end?
2. According to an experiment performed by a scientist in which she placed a freshly dead deer in those woods, it takes approximately two weeks for a freshly killed animal to completely decompose and be impossible to locate remains in those woods.
3. The only serious Bigfoot scientists, the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (http://www.bfro.net/) can only afford to go on expeditions about every other month.
With little priority being given to finding Bigfoot, it is really no wonder that scientists discard it as being a myth. I would say with 75% certainty that I believe that a Bigfoot, or at least something similar to a Bigfoot is out there. If not, then what was this man hearing in his yard? http://bit.ly/27nGbA
Just because something is not seen does not mean it doesn’t exist. Do we see air? No. But it does exist. The stereotypical Bigfoot, though, might not. There are many stories out there regarding the existence of Bigfoot (from somewhat sketchy sources), but I believe that there has to be some truth to their stories. They couldn’t just pull a Stephen Glass… or could they? Read for yourself and decide.

It is actually much more common than one would think to encounter Bigfoot. Case in point: http://bit.ly/158Hrk
America has a large enough Bigfoot population as it is. The last thing we need to worry about is illegal Bigfoot immigration to the United States. http://bit.ly/3x2spX
Regardless of whether you believe in me or not, I think the REAL explanation for this phenomenon lies in a comment left by “that1guy94” on the 911 call video:
